About Nasser G. Staples, MMP
Nasser G. Staples, a VSU alumni, is an established and highly skilled Medical Massage Practitioner including over 20+ years experience in various forms of patient care including emergency services, mental health and physical rehabilitation. He most recently worked at a local Rehab facility for 14 years as Medical Technician Supervisor and a Massage Therapy Instructor at a local college. He is well regarded in the Richmond Virginia area earning numerous accolades for his dedication and quality patient centered care. Nasser is part owner and Director of Massage Services at Waterfalls Salon and Massage Med Spa. There he integrates his in-depth knowledge of physical anatomy and physiology providing patients therapeutic massage for various forms of injuries and chronic pain issues.
Nasser improves the quality of life by providing a wellness partnership with you. He offers bodywork seminars and alternative therapeutic practices that implements the holistic approach to health. His goal is to aid in restoring balance to the body using advanced massage techniques.

What to Expect at your Visit
You won't require a referral or any insurance to receive care. You may experience a short wait before receiving therapy, but wait times are minimal and usually just enough time to complete your paperwork. Your initial paperwork is to help our staff get a better idea of your health history and current needs.
During your first visit, Nasser Staples, MMP will explain how medical massage therapy may be beneficial and other alternative solutions that we offer. If you've never have had the full body stretch before, this is a great way to alleviate common musculoskeletal ailments. During your consultation it's a great time to have some of your questions answered by our knowledgeable licensed medical massage practitioner, so you know exactly what to expect. Nasser Staples will answer any questions or concerns you may have prior to initiating treatment.
After a consultation and evaluation, Nasser will determine which services of holistic therapy will best benefit you. You will be positioned on a comfortable massage table made specifically for this purpose. We recommend you wear non-restrictive clothing to make it easier to rest comfortably while lying down on the table. A portion of your massage may be performed while you are face down, while other massage techniques may be delivered while you are either on your side, sitting upright or lying on your back.

Medical Massage Therapy is non-invasive, drugless and one of safest forms of alternative treatment available. Historically, practitioners have used these techniques for thousands of years and we use the highest standard of care when apply various techniques . Doctors most commonly prescribe medical massage therapy as apart of regimens.
How long will my visit take?
This all depends on the length and severity of your condition, however, most first visits may last as much as 45 minutes. Routine visits lengths may very based on type of massage being provided, normally between 30-90 minutes.
How Often will I need to Return?
At the end of your initial visit, your MMP will determine the best course of treatment based on the specific needs you provide. The frequency in which you receive alternative holistic care is strictly up to the professional judgment of the Medical Massage Practitioner and will vary from individual to individual depending on your presenting condition and overall goals, unless otherwise directed by your treating Physician. Visit are therapeutic and important to prevention, relief and recovery.

If, during the course of your visit and the MMP feels that therapy is contraindicated, you will be referred to the appropriate healthcare provider and/or facility.
